Ukraine and North Europe Trip - 2004 / 40807_01 . . . Our day in Paris. Interesting bridge north and west of the Eiffel Tower.
We headed out of Petite Foret, gased up at the cheapest place in France I think and several hours later found ourselves in the Paris ring roads. These are roads that have little signage where you need to make your turnoff, go over and under each other making a snake's nest out of them and really require a trained pilot to navigate. We did the expected and found ourselves at a gas station asking for directions. A local fellow was kind enough to drive to the appropriate turnoff point and saved a lot of time for us. 500 metres later found us at another Premiere Classe hotel. We snacked a little, went to a nearby internet cafe and contacted all those we intended to visit and up date those who were following our progress. After that, it was off to the dirty, hot and squawky/screetchy metro to the Eiffel Tower and our day in Paris.
